What is the maximum traffic a site hosted on the GoDaddy basic plan handle?

Frankly, a basic GoDaddy hosting plan could probably not handle much traffic.

From the countless reviews I’ve read, one of the biggest pain-points I’ve seen is customer websites constantly going down due to ‘exceeded visitor restrictions’.

This is odd considering GoDaddy boast about having ‘Unlimited’ bandwidth (a lot of cheap hosting companies do this).

In actual fact, hosting providers (especially GoDaddy) that advertise ‘Unlimited’ bandwidth ultimately end up providing less bandwidth than companies that advertise clear, numbered limits!

GoDaddy overcrowd their servers to breaking point, so their handy solution is to advertise ‘Unlimited’ bandwidth which, in practical terms, means that they control how much bandwidth you are using per month.

There are far better hosting providers out there - almost any other company would be better at this stage. Independently-owned hosts, like WPX Hosting and SiteGround, are showing the big, corporate hosts how it’s done.

Customer reviews will really help you avoid the trouble hosts and make your way to a better, more reliable and valuable host.

Hope that helped!
